Motorcycle riding can be an individual sport, and many enthusiasts enjoy it as a solitary sport.  the founders of FTR were long-time riders from across the country who eventually settled in the Portland, OR area.  As riders, we often found ourselves looking for people to ride with and looking for destinations to ride to.

Some of us had a vision....a vision of a family of motorcycle riders who would ride together, break bread together and serve their communities together. Bonds were formed and the rest is Full Tilt History.

During the summer of 2003, Portland area visionaries decided to bring the club concept to the Pacific North-West. We used the MC club to educate the "urban" rider with regard to safety practices, group riding dynamics, and safety gear. We also decided to expand the horizons of the "urban" rider to include track riding, canyon cutting, and road trips.  We are certainly not the first MC in the area, but we have made our mark as modern club with the backdrop of our common urban heritage, experiences, and community interests. By the end of the summer, we drafted a mission statement and bylaws. And the Full Tilt Riders MC was formally founded on December 1, 2003. The name Full Tilt Riders MC and it's associated logos are protected by Trademark laws.  More Information

By the spring of 2004, the FTR Mission and Message had spread to the upper Northwest. A group of mature riders from Seattle and Tacoma adopted the FTR Mission and banded together with FTR-Portland. These pioneers founded the 1st FTR franchise, the Full Tilt Rider MC Seattle Chapter.

The Seattle Chapter is the largest sportbike club in Washington. A large percentage of it's membership are current or former military personnel, which brings a high level of dicipline and maturity to the organizaiton.

A Mosouri-based group in search of an MC identity conducted an exhaustive search for a compatible club and ended up with FTR. The Waynesville/St. Roberts Chapter was born in June of 2006. The FTR lifestyle compliments what this group represents, and their goals are directly in line with the FTR Mission Statement.

Like the Seattle Chapter, many of the Waynesville members exhibit the discipline of strength of the US military.

As the organization continued to grow, core members of established chapters began relocating to other parts of the country and more new chapters were started.  We now have such chapters in Spokane, WA and Fayetteville, NC.

The FTR message is spreading like wildfire. New chapters from Savannah GA; Milwaukee, WI, Maryville, TN: have come on board. Full Tilt Riders MC is now known and respected from coast to coast.

The Full Tilt Mission is to build a strong and positive brother and sisterhood of people who share a passion for motorcycle riding. Our mission is to project a positive and safety conscious image of riders to the community at large. We are also dedicated providing community service activities in urban areas and fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie between all communities.
